Yes thats what l'm talking about!
to wake up in early morning ... may be 8 or 9 AM ... who remember? ... and the first thing my eyes balls point at: exactly that same view l'm sharing with yo ... where u looking at? hello it is up here... ahem, let me correct: the first thing my eyes balls point at when l woke up, wasn't that beauty with clouds drifting and sunshine and the smell of woods and the sound of the small river that was rivering just near by .... but my cellular phone! and the electronic light from the small screen flashing on my delicate eyes just revived from the realm of darkness ... just the stupid habit to see what the time is?!
Then off to take breakfast but not in the hostel, because to eat in the hostel u have to order the food the day before ... so l went to the convenience store and what a convenience!?!?! typical of the country side with an old energetic gal with eyeglasses and farmer hat, selling all kind of stuffs for double price! the sky was just like u saw in the pic. above and while going back, thinking to rent a bicycle to go to some nice beach ... just out of the blue, dark clouds start coming over my head and in a second WWUUOOAAAAAAHHHH start to rain sooo strong!!! HELLOOOO???
so l remained in the hostel in the meeting room, looked at the various maps of the island that were available on the table, with its trails with clear indications such us: this is good, this is to avoid if u are a novice, blah blah blah.
There was even a 3D map of Yakushima with trails ... nice, and so l also talked with a staff of the hostel ... l mean, thankfully to the sudden rain l could sit down to understand very well how to move in this island, because the main problem was exactly the rain ... one moment is just beautiful with clear view and the next moment monsoon ... just like that.
And for one like me, staying around with a tent wasn't so comfy because then the tent is pretty wet and need to dry before put it away in the bag if l wanna sleep in the next place ... dry.
Kinda of an'adventure uh?! yes it was.
So then l decided to go in the mountain the last days and therefore l booked the camping space for 2 more nights ... and l chit-chatted with N, the recptionist, a little bit ... she told me that l remind her of lndia!!! LOL, first U with my pronunciation then N because of my behavior ... YEAH l was behaving just like an indian ... l don't know but l was just myself ... may be because of that. LOL. anyway we became a little bit more intimate in a friendly way and she told me to go to see a nice spot that it is not in a touristic guide and moreover it was one of her favorite spot ...
so nice of her to tell me about it.
But before going to that spot l walked with a broken umbrella (borrowed from the hostel) and when reached to the convenience store it broke totally that became useless ... and l bought new one. And walked and walked and walked, on the main road (there is only that one all around the island) finally l got to the natural Hotspring, Hirauchi Kaichu-onsen (spot 5 in the polaroid of the previous post) ... u can take a naturally warm bath only when the tide of the sea is low for an hour or 2 ... but l didn't feel to take a bath there and also l didn't take any picture ... strange.
Never mind and going back for another 45 minutes of walk, it wasn't raining anymore and the sky was back with its splendor, and in the middle between the Hot spring and the hostel l went in a secondary road hoping to reach to some wild beach but it was too far to go down so l sneaked on a wild trail till a dead end, standing on the rocks just like on the verge of the cliff and l took this nice shot:
Daaaamn, seeing that clear water l wanted to jump and go straight in there ... anyway back to hostel l decided to go to see the recommended spot l got from N since it was only 20 minutes walk from the hostel ... PHEW! l walked a lot that afternoon! after all it was also kinda of practice to hike afterward in the mountain ... everything was so perfect!!!
well, as l entered in this "park" l found with much surprise and happiness the body tree that l never thought to find it here in japan since l saw it only in lndia!!! and that tree was one of my favorites, it is one of my best friend!!! it has long branches and from the branches coming down the roots as support ... mmmhhh faaantastico! have a look here to get what l mean:
l will tell more about this fabulous spot on the next post ... ciao ciao see you then and there (^-^)
